We’re delighted to invite you to the upcoming UK Network for Sustainable Research (UKNSR) event:

Towards Sustainable Digital Research: Challenges, Mitigations and Opportunities

Hosted in collaboration with UKRI and The University of Manchester, this event brings together universities, funders and sector partners to explore how we can make Digital Research more sustainable — from data storage and software to computing infrastructure and governance.

You’ll hear from:
:small_blue_diamond: Martin Farley, UKRI Sustainability Advisor and founder of LEAF
:small_blue_diamond: Dr Loïc Lannelongue, creator of the Green D!sC certification and researcher in sustainable digital computing
:small_blue_diamond: Kirsty Pringle, Project Manager at the Software Sustainability Institute, University of Edinburgh

Following the keynote session, we’ll run a practical workshop to identify common challenges, map stakeholders, and develop shared actions to advance digital sustainability across the UK research sector.

The day will close with a UKNSR strategy discussion, reflecting on current initiatives and next steps for the network.
